PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - A Colorado mental illness and drug treatment program says it will temporarily close so its nurses work elsewhere in the hospital.
The Pueblo Chieftain reports (https://bit.ly/2r2f8U1 ) state officials confirmed the move by Colorado Mental Health Institute in Pueblo Tuesday. Officials say the action will help with the hospital’s staffing shortage.
CIRCLE is a 90-day residential program that treats patients suffering from addiction and mental illness at the same time. According to a statement by the state Department of Human Service, all patients will be transferred to other programs for the time being.
Officials have not said when the program would reopen.
