NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Police say a driver has died after crashing into a tree off a Connecticut state highway.
State police say the single-car crash happened around 7 a.m. Monday on Route 15 near the border of New Haven and Woodbridge. All northbound lanes of the road were temporarily closed after the crash and periodic closures are expected to continue as police investigate.
Police have not released the name of the person killed.
