BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Montana officials say a man was seriously injured after a tree branch fell on him.
The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/2rwEhD9 ) the branch of about a food in diameter punctured the man’s left side on Friday. The man was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Emergency responders say the wound is serious but not life threatening.
The man was at Veterans Park for movie night when the branch fell on him. Park employees say the branch belonged to one of the older trees in the park.
The Billings Fire Department received a report of a tree that fell on multiple people, but could only confirm the man’s case.
The area where the incident occurred has been blocked off.
