MONROE, La. (AP) - A former northern Louisiana high school teacher is accused of violating the terms of his probation less than two weeks after receiving a plea deal.
The News-Star (https://tnsne.ws/2tRJZ3s) reported Monday that court records state 25-year-old Christian Amos was told he needed to register as a sex offender and could not live at the address he submitted due to its proximity to a child care facility or school. The former Neville High School teacher registered as a sex offender on June 20.
Last week, Amos was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center for a violation of probation by the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections. Records show that Amos failed to reside at a residence provided.
Amos was arrested March 1 after being accused of providing marijuana to and having sex with multiple students.
