LEADVILLE, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say the body of a 15-year-old girl has been recovered from a swollen creek in central Colorado.

The Denver Post reports https://goo.gl/m17xdF a search was launched after the girl’s father and her boyfriend saw her fall into Lake Creek outside of Leadville on Thursday.

Search and rescue teams walked the stream bank but could not find the girl, whose name has not been released. Teams with dogs narrowed the search Friday, and a passerby spotted the body later in the day.



No other information was released.
