Nina Skye, a porn actress in Los Angeles, says she was fired from a teaching job at a local Christian pre-kindergarten because she wouldn’t give up her career in the adult-film industry.
Fox11 in L.A. reported her story Monday, a follow-up to an earlier story in May that profiled Ms. Skye as a pre-K teacher ready to come out to the world about her secret moonlighting gig, even should it cost her her teaching job.
Neither story by Fox11 noted the name of the school.
An editor at the station told The Washington Times the decision to omit the school’s name was due to advice from its legal department, and that they had confirmed Ms. Skye’s employment with the school in question.
Ms. Skye’s firing has gotten fresh play Friday with the websites for the New York Post, Daily Mail and Maxim magazine, among others, publishing stories on the matter, according to a Google News search.
For her part, Ms. Skye claims the unnamed school offered her a pay raise and help with housing if she agreed to end her nascent porno career.
“They were really trying to pull me away from staying in the industry, they just really wanted me out,” Ms. Skye told Fox11. “They offered help and advice, but I don’t really want out of the industry.”
