RENO, Nev. (AP) - Northern Nevada officials say they are ending their search for a rafter that went missing on the Truckee River west of Reno.

Sarah Duncan was reported missing Wednesday. Reports describe her as 6 feet tall woman with reddish-blond hair.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, the Reno Fire Department and the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District were all part of the search effort. Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Harmon says crews looked for Duncan between Crystal Peak Park in Verdi where witnesses say they saw her fall off her raft and Mayberry Park in west Reno.

Officials say they searched for Duncan for several hours and found no trace of her.
