BROOKLINE, N.H. (AP) - Jack Flanagan, a former member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, is running once again for the state’s Second Congressional District in the 2018 race.

Flanagan, a Republican from Brookline, has served several terms in the House and was majority leader under House Speaker Shawn Jasper. He also was vice chairman of the Hollis/Brookline Cooperative School Committee; chairman of School Administrative Unit 41, the Brookline School District, and the Brookline finance committee. He also was a member of the Brookline Board of Selectmen.

Flanagan said Wednesday said he hopes to be the voice for the 2nd District “in solving the dysfunction in our nation’s capital.”

He first ran in 2016, but lost in the Republican primary to Former state Rep. Jim Lawrence.

U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster, a Democrat, is serving her third term.
