EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Eugene Police are investigating after a body was pulled from the Willamette River.

The Lane County Sheriff’s office conducted a water rescue Saturday after a passer-by spotted the body more than a mile downstream of the Greenway Bike Bridge. The office discovered that the person was deceased.

Eugene police say the medical examiner’s office will confirm the person’s identity.
