BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Winners of the Alabama Associated Press Media Editors 2016 contest were announced Saturday in Birmingham.
The awards honor the best work by newspapers and television and radio stations across the state.
Twenty-four daily newspapers, TV stations, radio stations and colleges submitted 664 entries in the contest, which featured news and sports stories, features, editorials, columns, graphics and photos for newspapers; and anchor, newscasts, weather, news sports and feature stories from TV and radio for 2016.
