SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Tempe man is facing extreme DUI and endangerment charges after a wrong-way driving crash in Scottsdale.

Podave Riley had his initial court appearance Monday and his bond was set at $2,700.

He doesn’t have an attorney yet.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the 25-year-old Riley was arrested after he crashed his car into a barrier wall on the Loop 101 around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Just before the crash, the DPS says it received a report of a wrong-way vehicle on the freeway.

Court documents show Riley had a blood-alcohol level of at least .168 percent after his arrest.

That’s well over the legal limit of 0.08 percent for drivers in Arizona.
