TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - A 9-month-old boy has died in a mobile home fire in Florida.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Debbie Carter said in a news release that the child and his 67-year-old great-grandmother Barbara Weidman were at the home when the fire broke out on Wednesday evening.
Carter says Weidman safely got out of the home but the child died in the fire. She says the boy’s mother Deziray Weidman wasn’t home when the fire started.
An investigation is continuing.
