HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Police are trying to identify a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a homeless man in Pennsylvania’s capital city.
Harrisburg police say a woman saw 60-year-old Jesse Williams suffering from wounds about 4:35 a.m. Thursday and drove him to a hospital where he died a short time later.
People in the neighborhood where Williams was attacked say he’s originally from Steelton and came to the area years ago, living in a shed for a time. Neighbor Tiffany Johnson says she and others looked out for Williams, who once helped her by coming into her home to set a mouse trap.
More recently, Williams had been living on the porch of Grace House, a church-related charity that participates in a local food bank.
