BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) - The Burlington Hawk Eye in southeast Iowa has a new general manager.
The newspaper reports (https://bit.ly/2txvsdg ) Ellis Smith began his new job Thursday.
The 33-year-old Smith was previously a digital editor for the Chattanooga Times Free Press, where he first worked as a business and technology reporter. He tells the Hawk Eye he has plans for the newspaper that are designed to increase readership and revenue.
GateHouse Media acquired the Hawk Eye in December.
