STIRUM, N.D. (AP) - A weekend crash in Sargent County involving a dirt bike and a utility vehicle killed the 19-year-old West Fargo man driving the motorcycle.
The Highway Patrol says bike and the UTV collided head-on about 11:30 p.m. Saturday on a rural road near Stirum. The driver died at an Oakes hospital. He wasn’t immediately identified.
Authorities say the motorcycle did not have a headlight.
The 56-year-old Oakes man driving the UTV and a passenger were not injured. Authorities say the driver was arrested and charges are pending, but they did not elaborate. The patrol did say that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
