NEW YORK (AP) - Two people in New York City have been hospitalized following an apartment fire.
WABC-TV reports (https://7ny.tv/2tIE6oz) firefighters responded to the apartment fire in Brooklyn around 3 a.m. Friday. Authorities say the fire was confined to a third-floor apartment.
Firefighters pulled two unconscious people from the apartment. The victims were taken Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. Deputy Chief David Maj says the status of the victims is undetermined.
Authorities say other apartments sustained water damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
