LYNNWOOD, Wash. (AP) - School officials confirm that three people who died after their SUV slammed into the back of a parked semi-trailer near Lynnwood, Washington, were high school students.

KING-TV reports (https://kng5.tv/2v0QYKy ) that the students killed in Wednesday’s crash went to Henry M. Jackson High School, a school in Mill Creek in the Everett School District.

A fourth person injured in the crash was a student at Cascade High School.



School principal Dave Peters says their Crisis Response Team is working on a plan to help students and families with the loss.

Grief counselors will be at Jackson High on Thursday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Officials say the car was heading north on Alderwood Mall Parkway when it crashed into the back of the semi.
