Man found shot to death in vehicle in Louisiana

COVINGTON, La. (AP) - Authorities say a man was found fatally shot inside of a vehicle in Louisiana.

Covington Police Chief Tim Lentz says officers found the man in the front seat of a vehicle after responding to reports of gunfire just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday.

Nola.com/The Times-Picayune reports the victim was in the driveway of a house and was shot several times.

The man’s identity has not been released. Lentz says more information about the victim will be made public once family members have been notified.
