PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a suspect is dead after shooting at officers who then returned fire.
Sgt. Alan Pfohl says no officers were injured in the incident early Wednesday morning.
Pfohl says the incident occurred when officers approached the suspect as he rode a bicycle.
Pfohl says the suspect opened fire and that both officers returned fire, shooting and killing the man.
The shooting occurred at about 1 a.m. in north Phoenix near the intersection of North 35th Avenue and West Greenway Road.
