ARTESIA, N.M. (AP) - Officials in Eddy County are lifting a boil water advisory that was issued nearly 10 days ago after they found E. coli in it.
The New Mexico Environment Department says only customers of the Artesia Municipal Water System and Morningside Water Users Cooperative were affected.
The department issued the advisory on July 15 after finding contamination in the water.
The department says the water is now safe to use without boiling.
