FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A wildfire is prompting evacuations near a heavily populated area in Colorado.
The fire burned almost half a square mile of brush-covered foothills Saturday south of Fort Collins.
Authorities are ordering the evacuation of homes on the south side of Horsetooth Reservoir in the Rocky Mountain foothills.
KDVR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2tzNbEo ) the fire is about 40 percent contained. Helicopters are getting water from the reservoir to drop on the fire.
Authorities tell boaters to make room for the helicopters by keeping away from the middle of the reservoir.
