NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Gov. Bill Haslam has announced transportation grants for four cities in Tennessee.
The projects are in the cities of Fayetteville, Franklin, Murfreesboro and Pulaski.
A $1.1 million grant administered by the Tennessee Department of Transportation will provide a pedestrian connection between Stone Bridge Park and Camp Blount in Fayetteville.
Separate grants of $1 million will improve sidewalks in Murfreesboro and help build a trail in Franklin that will connect residential areas, schools, shopping and city centers.
A $617,000 grant in Pulaski involves sidewalk improvements and landscaping.
