OPINION:
It is probably correct that Brexit will not be easy for the Brits (“Brexit won’t be painless for U.K., say experts,” Web, July 18). However, it provides a valuable learning experience for those who steered Great Britain into that nest of European socialism many years ago.
It was a blunder then that has led to Britain becoming a hodgepodge of anti-Semites, pro-Marxists and Muslim extremists. How well the real Brits will survive will be determined by a strong relationship with the United States and the Trump administration. England has survived far more pain in the past and must stiffen its back when faced with another “invasion” from the European continent.
For our part President Trump must push through expansive economic agreements that will bring Britain closer to the United States and further from Marxist Europe. There will always be an England.
