OSKALOOSA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a firefighter has been injured while battling a house fire in central Iowa.

Firetrucks were dispatched around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday to the unoccupied house in Oskaloosa.

Fire Capt. Daniel Hoy told The Oskaloosa Herald (https://bit.ly/2tq5hIU ) that the house is being renovated and said one of the firefighters tripped and fell through a hole in a floor. Hoys says the man’s injury was minor, but he was taken to Mahaska Health Partnership for treatment. His name hasn’t been released.



The fire cause is being investigated.
