ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - New Mexico’s latest license plate design, which features red and green chiles, is more than popular among local drivers.
KRQE-TV (https://bit.ly/2usaNdU ) reported Thursday, according to the Motor Vehicle Department, more than 3,000 of the new plates have been sold since July 7.
The plates are black with yellow lettering. At the top, it reads, “Chile Capital of the World.”
The Motor Vehicle Department had ordered 50,000 of the plates to start.
