NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Police in South Carolina have arrested two men in connection with the shooting death of a man whose body was found in a burning home.

North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor told local media outlets that 36-year-old Gregory Green of North Charleston has been charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a crime and arson.

Pryor said Gregory was arrested Tuesday afternoon after a brief standoff with police in Charleston.

Twenty-nine-year-old Terrance Doucet of North Charleston was arrested Friday on an accessory to murder charge.

Authorities were called to a home fire June 8 and found the body of 55-year-old Freeman Angelo Rivers. The coroner later determined Rivers had been shot to death.

It was not known if Gregory and Doucet have attorneys.
