PALM BAY, Fla. (AP) - A firefighter is recovering from a neck injury after a piece of dry wall fell on him during a house fire.
Palm Bay Fire officials say the fire broke out Sunday afternoon in an empty house. The flames were so intense that a portion of the roof collapsed as firefighters worked to control the flames.
The unidentified firefighter was taken to the hospital. His condition was not known.
Florida Today (https://tinyurl.com/jfytl2g) reports the house was destroyed by the fire. It’s unclear was started the blaze.
