MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont Gov.-elect Phil Scott has announced cabinet appointments in health, housing, taxes, public safety and emergency management.
Mark Levine has been named Commissioner of Health. He’s been a professor of health medicine at the University of Vermont, associate dean for Graduate Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official at the College of Medicine and the UVM Medical Center.
Katie Buckley has been appointed Commissioner of Housing and Community Development. Buckley has been town administrator in Guilford and director of housing development for Windham & Windsor Housing Trust.
Kaj Samsom will transition from his current role as Deputy Commissioner of Financial Regulation to Tax Commissioner. Christopher Herrick, director of Vermont Emergency Management and Homeland Security, has been named Deputy Commissioner of Public Safety. Erica Bornemann will replace him.
Robert Ide of Peacham was reappointed as Motor Vehicles Commissioner.
