FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - A Fresno County sheriff’s deputy has been injured after a collision on Highway 180.

The Fresno Bee reports (https://bit.ly/2hQKkRk ) that the deputy was taken on Tuesday to a hospital with major injuries to his lower body. Fresno County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tony Botti says the deputy’s injuries are not life-threatening.

The Fresno Fire Department was able to rescue to the deputy, who was pinned in.



The other driver sustained minor injuries.
