GREENBELT, Md. (AP) - A former elementary school volunteer in Prince George’s County pleaded guilty to 15 federal child pornography offenses.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a news release that 23-year-old Deonte Carraway of Glenarden entered the pleas Monday in federal court in Greenbelt.
Prosecutors say Carraway involved 12 children ranging in age from nine to 13 in the production of child pornography.
Authorities say Carraway abused or recorded children performing sexual acts at Judge Sylvania W. Woods Elementary School or at the Glenarden Community Center where he ran a youth choir. According to indictments, Carraway also recorded children performing sexual acts inside their homes.
Carraway faces 60 to 100 years in prison at sentencing on June 5. He also faces some 270 state charges.
