HOLBROOK, Mass. (AP) - Authorities have identified a Milton man killed when a car and a commuter rail train collided in Holbrook.

The Enterprise reports (https://bit.ly/2iYN7UL ) the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office identified 63-year-old Gary Longo as the driver who died Sunday afternoon.

Transit police with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority say a commuter rail train was approaching the Holbrook/Randolph stop when it smashed into a car on the tracks.

They say early indications are that Longo had been attempting to drive around the track crossing gates, which were down at the time of the collision.

Transit police say they don’t suspect foul play was involved.

The crash remains under investigation.
