RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Scores of protesters have gathered at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond to voice their opposition to President Donald Trump’s executive order barring refugees from entering the United States.

Demonstrators convened at the Compass Plaza on VCU’s Monroe Park campus on Sunday for a protest organized by the group Resist RVA.

Photos posted to the group’s Facebook page show a large crowd with demonstrators holding signs that say, “Resist,” ’’American Values First!” and “Love Not Fear.”

The demonstration is among many in cities across the United States. Hundreds of protesters and dozens of immigration lawyers gathered on Sunday at Dulles International Airport, where between 50 and 60 legal residents were detained on Saturday.
