HOPKINTON, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire State Police say a cruiser parked in the breakdown lane of Interstate 89 in Hopkinton was struck by a passing vehicle.
The trooper was standing outside of his cruiser at the time of the crash and escaped injury on Friday morning.
Police say the driver, who wasn’t hurt, admitted to driving between 75 and 80 miles an hour in the posted 65 mph zone. It wasn’t clear how the crash happened; police are investigating.
Both vehicles were damaged and were towed from the scene.
