ORRVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Confederate Memorial Park in Autauga County has donated its old tractor to a Selma-area historical site in need.
The Selma Times-Journal (https://bit.ly/2k593kZ ) reports that Old Cahawba Archaeological Park’s frustrating tractor problems were solved when they recently received the gift from Confederate Memorial Park.
The archaeological park in Dallas County contains abandoned buildings from Alabama’s first state capital.
Site director Linda Derry was appreciative of the donation. She says the archaeological park has 800 acres of land to care for, making a tractor a requirement for maintenance.
