TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities have released the names of two men who died after a small plane crashed while taking off at Tucson International Airport.

Officials with the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner said Thursday that 56-year-old pilot Jeffrey Green and 38-year-old passenger Daniel Rodriguez both died from blunt force and thermal injuries and were identified by dental records.

Federal Aviation Administration officials say the twin-engine Beechcraft 300 crashed into a blast fence under circumstances while taking off Monday on a flight to Mexico.

Airport public safety chief John Ivanoff says the private plane skidded for before crashing and catching fire.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash.
