FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville has named a new leader of its fundraising division.

The university announced Tuesday that Mark Power will be the school’s vice chancellor for university advancement. Power has served as an interim leader since August, when Chris Wyrick stepped down a month after his department was reorganized.

Power has served as an associate vice chancellor at UA since 2013. He came to UA in 2001 as the director of development in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences.

UA Chancellor Joseph Steinmetz says Power has “raised millions of dollars in private gift support” in his time at the university and called him an effective leader.
