WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say firefighters have found the body of man in a blazing Waterloo house.

Firetrucks were dispatched to the home a little after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The body was found in a second-floor bedroom. The man’s name hasn’t been released.

Police say some of the man’s friends reported the fire after they went to the house to check on him because he didn’t show up for work and wasn’t answering his phone.

The fire cause is being investigated.
