CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges related to the sales of synthetic marijuana products often referred to as “spice.”
Prosecutors say Tony Aoude, of Derry, sold the products from 2013 to 2014 at stores he operated in Londonderry and Hooksett.
Prosecutors say undercover officers asked to buy quantities of these products for resale in Florida. Despite being told by a co-conspirator that the products were unlawful in Florida, Aoude arranged for the undercover officers to purchase the drugs at his store in Londonderry. He also received payments for facilitating the shipment of additional products to Florida.
He’s scheduled to be sentenced on May 4 in federal court.
The investigation led to the arrest and prosecution of multiple individuals who have been sentenced to prison.
