TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police are investigating an arson case at an apartment complex on the city’s south side.
They say the incident early Sunday caused several thousands of dollars in damage, but there were no reported injuries.
Officers responded to reports of multiple vehicles and a carport on fire at a complex about 5:30 a.m.
Crews from the Tucson Fire Department also responded and quickly worked to extinguish the fire as officers conducted evacuations in the immediate area.
Witnesses told police that two men in their 20s and wearing plaid jackets were seen riding bicycles in the area before the fire began.
Police say no other details were immediately known and the case remains under investigation.
