WESTBROOK, Maine (AP) - Police say at least one person has died after a car crashed into a river in Westbook.
WGME-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2jdj1QB ) a passerby reported the vehicle submerged in the Stroudwater River on Sunday morning.
The Westbrook police chief has confirmed that at least one person died.
Police have identified the victim as 22-year-old Fouad Abdullah, of Westbrook.
They do not know when the crash happened or if anyone else was in the vehicle at the time.
Authorities removed the car from the river Sunday afternoon.
