LITTLE FERRY, N.J. (AP) - Police have identified a 64-year-old man who died in a house fire earlier this week in New Jersey.
NJ.com reports (https://bit.ly/2jvl9BE ) Ram Iyer was identified as the man found dead on the second floor of the Little Ferry home following the Wednesday morning blaze.
Witnesses say the two-story house became engulfed in flames despite a swift response from firefighters.
Police say there are no indications that foul play was involved. The cause of the inferno remains unknown.
Mayor Mauro Raguseo said it was a sad day for the borough. He extended his thoughts and prayers to Iyer’s family.
