FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities have released the names of two Flagstaff men who were killed after their truck veered off a highway and struck a tree.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the victims were 23-year-old Mathew Thomas Reyes and 24-year-old Toriano Carbajal.

They say Reyes was the driver of the truck and Carbajal was a passenger.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene of Monday’s crash on Highway 180.

DPS officials say the truck was involved in a hit-and-run incident on Snowbowl Road, sideswiping an SUV and a bicyclist before crashing into a tree.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries while the SUV driver wasn’t hurt.

DPS officials say they haven’t ruled out speed or impairment as factors in the crash.
