ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) - York County sheriff’s deputies say a 28-year-old man has been shot to death by the owner of a club near Rock Hill.
Deputies were called to the club around 1 a.m. Sunday and found the victim. Sheriff’s spokesman Trent Faris said in a statement that the man was taken to a Charlotte, North Carolina, hospital where he died.
The man’s name has not been released.
Faris says the victim and several other people were involved in a dispute at the Hideway Club and were asked to leave.
Faris said a short time later the man tried to re-enter and stopped by the owner. Faris says the owner was assaulted and pulled a gun and shot the man.
Farris said no charges have been filed and the investigation is continuing.
