Man died after vehicle was struck by train, authorities say

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (AP) - A driver has died at a hospital after his vehicle was hit by a train in Marshalltown.

The Marshalltown Times-Republican reports (https://bit.ly/2itogNa ) that the accident occurred around 8 p.m. Saturday. Authorities say 63-year-old Kyle Quick was driving across tracks when his vehicle was struck by the train.

Authorities say he was flown to a Des Moines hospital, where he died Sunday.

The accident is being investigated.
