AMARILLO, Texas (AP) - A United Express plane slid off the runway after landing in Amarillo overnight, but the airline says no one was injured.
A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration said Monday that the agency was investigating the accident.
United Airlines spokesman Jonathan Guerin said there were 50 passengers and three crew members on the twin-engine jet, which was operated for United by ExpressJet. He said the plane was turning from the runway to a taxiway early Monday when it slid partly into a grassy area at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport.
The plane was arriving from Houston. The Texas Panhandle saw temperatures in the low 30s and light snow overnight.
