KAHALUU, Hawaii (AP) - A man has been arrested after a shotgun was fired at officers and pellets from the shell hit a police cruiser.

Hawaii News Now reports (https://bit.ly/2jm6oDs) the officers responded to an unrelated call on Saturday and were on their way out of a residence when the man opened fire from across the street.

His shotgun jammed while he was trying to fire a second shot and officers arrested him.



Witnesses said police tackled the man.

He is facing attempted murder and drug charges.
