PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) - Officials say rescue workers had to bring a sick maintenance worker down from a South Florida water tower.
The Palm Beach Post (https://goo.gl/ILa4bC ) reports that the Seacoast Utilities worker became ill atop the company’s water tower Friday.
Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue says crews used high-angle equipment and a rescue basket to lower the worker. The rescue took about two and one-half hours and involved more than two dozen personnel.
The worker was taken to a nearby hospital. His condition wasn’t immediately known.
