MECHANIC FALLS, Maine (AP) - The listing agent says the former Harvest Hill Farm in Maine where a teenager died in a haunted hayride crash may continue operating as a farm.
Roger Gagnon tells the Sun Journal (https://bit.ly/2j95qI4 ) that he’s received serious inquiries for the $1.6 million property that include at least two plans to grow marijuana.
The farm went bankrupt after a 17-year-old-girl from Oakland was killed and dozens of others injured in the crash of the “Gauntlet” haunted hayride crash in October 2015. The property was sold at a foreclosure auction in July 2016 for $1 million, and now it’s up for sale.
Mainers voted to legalize marijuana for recreational use in November. Lawmakers must now sort out details, including taxing marijuana.
