EBENSBURG, Pa. (AP) - More details have been released about a new health center in central Pennsylvania.
On Monday, UPMC Altoona announced it has started construction on an outpatient center. The three-story building will be located off of Route 22 near Ebensburg and cost $20 million.
The Tribune-Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/2j0kk5y ) the health facility will include outpatient testing, therapy services and a community room. The outpatient center will also include space for specialty care.
Hospital representatives say the UPMC Altoona outpatient center will be a federally qualified health and focus on both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
Two independent health organizations will also lease space in the building. It is scheduled to open next year.
