LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol says overcrowding at Mt. Charleston temporarily closed roads to the mountain on New Year’s Day.

KVVU-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2hIbqsb) that State Route 156 and State Route 157 were closed at U.S. 95 Sunday afternoon.

The temporary closure blocked all traffic except residents and lift ticket holders at the resort about 40 miles from Las Vegas.
